A brief look through this year's programme will show any photographer that there is something for them in becoming a member of Derby City Photographic Club, with talks on various topics, competitions, both themed and open and members' evenings, which are as wide ranging as possible. The club also has an extensive library and members are free to borrow the books in order to improve their photographic techniques.

However, a club is only as good as its members, and like any hobbies, you only get out of it what you put in, so I would urge all members to try to get involved in the competitions, debates and actually helping to run the club.

Any new member will always be assured of a warm welcome with some very experienced photographers willing to give advice if you only ask.
