Events Programme: February 2010
1st – Richard Cooper a 32 year-old and a photographer for only 5 years - will be showing us his
stunning landscapes which have already earned him several art gallery exhibitions.
4th – Inter-Club Competition – Beeston Leg – Judge: Ian Pinn
Three way Print/Digital image competition between Derby City Photographic Club, Beeston

8th – Inside the Abbeydale Picture House – Guy Brown DPAGB, FRPS
The Abbeydale Picture House is a 1920s cinema in Sheffield that Guy photographed over a period
of two years or so. The first half of the talk will be a tutorial on the high dynamic range (HDR)
technique he used to photograph the building, covering also some of the Photoshop techniques
that he used to make the prints (including digital “hand colouring”). In the second half Guy will
show us his prints, including his ARPS and FRPS panels.
15th – Present a Panel Print Competition – Judge: Anthony Pioli ARPS
16th – Techniques Tuesday (3rd Tuesday)
17th – Inter-Club Competition – Rolls Royce Leg – Judge: Les Nixon
