Events Programme: August 2010 NO Digital Tuesday this month! Monday 2nd August - GOLF CROQUET Meet at 6.50pm for a 7pm start with our tutor for the evening David Pinney at Long Eaton Park Croquet Club, West Park Leisure Centre, Wilsthorpe Road, Long Eaton. NG10 4AA (www.croquet.org.uk/clubs) look for LEPCC. We will be expected to be finished by 8.30pm and there will be a local pub that we can retire to thereafter. Monday 9th August - DARLEY ABBEY VILLAGE A walk with your camera with our member Erica Perry in and around Darley Village and its historical sites and the adjacent Darley Park. Returning through Darley Park to the Abbey pub Meet at 6.45 for a prompt 7pm start at the car park opposite to the Abbey pub, in the village, no booking required just turn up on the evening. Monday 16th August - A VISIT TO THE GROUNDS of SNELSTON HALL, ASHBOURNE A visit around the grounds of Snelston Hall, a privately owned estate that has been in the same family for 300 years. Snelston lies to the west of the A515 just south of Ashbourne. Location details will be forwarded by e-mail to members shortly. Meet in the courtyard of Snelston Hall at 6:00pm. Location map here. Monday 23rd August - AN EVENING MEAL AT THE CHERRY TREE FARM PUB Time to relax at the end of the month from our various outdoor activities and no better than at the Cherry Tree Farm pub and restaurant at the junction of the A38 and A50. (Toyota island) Address Etwall Road, Willington, Derby. DE65 6DX. (Address is rather confusing as it is not in the village of Willington, it is literally just off the Toyota island down Etwall Road.)
